In June this year, the RHA ran an Anatomy workshop, with three days of artistic anatomical instruction and drawing led by Alan McGowan, followed by a day of medical anatomy at the Royal College of Surgeons led by Clive Lee, Professor of Anatomy.

At the RHA we had a different model each day, and built up our ideas of anatomy starting with the muscles and bones of the chest. On the first day our model was Des, a bodybuilder in his sixties, who puts everything into very vigorous poses!
