On day two we looked at the anatomy of the legs. Our model was Áine, quite a different body type from Des, but muscular in her own way. There was no prescription about how we did our drawings, and no requirement to highlight the body parts being emphasised on a particular day. During a pose Alan would go around pointing out to us the anatomical landmarks which were visible in that pose.
We started each day with shorter poses (about ten minutes), which I did in charcoal and then did longer ones (25 minutes or longer), which I did in pastel.
